My Take

Google Classroom removes the need for pencil-paper assignments, as well as giving students access to assignments anytime/anywhere. Teacher can lead discussions, share lessons, create activities, and more, all in an easy-to-use environment. We use Google Classroom with ChromeBooks, and even our most reluctant teachers have found this resource to be helpful and engaging for students.

How I Use It

Google Classroom takes learning to the next level in a way that is easy to manage and use with students. I've used it to "push" activities and lessons to students without having to get into the "nuts and bolts" of Google sharing and logins. Students simply join your class, and any activities that were created in Google Docs (slides, word, draw, etc.) can be assigned to students while automatically adding the document to students' Google accounts. One of the best parts is that you can assign due dates for each assignment, and students can then "turn it in" digitally to their teacher. If there are revisions that need to be made, teachers can send back the assignment for students to complete. Say goodbye to paper and pencil assignments!
