GIF Maker by Momento

GIF Maker by Momento is an iOS app students and teachers can use to quickly create GIFs from photos and videos. It's an elegantly designed app that should be easy enough for social media-savvy teachers and students to figure out. While it's clearly designed for the consumer market (sharing current and past memories), it could be adapted for classroom use. Be aware, though, that the free version has a Momento watermark and limited feature set. This includes limiting the things you can do with a GIF (no stickers or effects, for instance) and restricting the photos and videos you can use from your library. That being said, even with the free version, teachers and students could whip up some simple GIFs to spice up presentations or social posts, or to add some flavor to assessments. For instance, at the end of class period, teachers could ask students to send a GIF that expresses how they're feeling. This would offer a fun, low-stakes way for students to indicate their comfort with class content and their development. Alternatively, teachers could use Momento to give feedback to help encourage students.
