My Take

Great games for students to play and learn. The applications are endless and you could even turn this into lessons for students. It is an easy set-up and worth the time to explore.

How I Use It

I predominately use the games section of the website. I found it quite useful after each lesson as a way to keep the learning going while I am still working with some individuals. My students love the tech components and it works well to reinforce skills. My students play these games after they complete their problem for the day. I also use it to talk about social justice themes. The thought that students can learn about food shortages and helping others is truly impactful to their learning. These become themes for math problems, for topics to read more about and research (which can be researched on this site) and write letters. It adds a contextual side to learning that you don't see very much in many programs.
