My Take
This is a great site. I have recommended it to other teachers who have found it very beneficial. I liked how the content the students were learning went along with what I was teaching. I was able to assign assignments to better meet the needs of the students. This could be used for whole class, small group, or individual instruction.
How I Use It
I use Front Row for independent work during center time for both ELA and math. My students also go onto the site at home and during free time at school (indoor recess, quiet time). The reading passages are engaging, high interest and go with what we are learning in the classroom. The math is great for reinforcing skills learned in class and to see where students are still struggling. I have even used some of the inquiry activities front row has to offer with the whole class. I only wish my school bought the program so I could see all of the data.
