My Take

The magic of education is really when students are the creators and publishers of information learned. Before allowing students to create their own emaze presentations, I would check out their Privacy Policy. They state that their site is not directed for people under 18.

Emaze is free, but there are some limitations with the free account. Collaboration is only allowed with an upgrade. You can get an EDU account for $2.90/month for additional features.

How I Use It

When it comes to presenting information, I tend to be fairly particular. I spend more time than I care to admit making things look right and engaging. Emaze has been a time saver and makes the user look pretty dang awesome. The presentation templates look AMAZING! Some are even in 3D. Students are engaged visually, but the magic is really in what is being presented. That all comes down to the teacher. Teachers can upload PowerPoint presentations, attach audio, or bring in YouTube videos. Once the emaze presentation is complete, the teacher can share a link or copy the embed code and attach it to their class website of Learning Management System (our district uses Schoology).
