Overall, I believe this is a great teaching and learning tool. This tool offers comprehensive, clear lessons that guide students through questions and let them set the pace, personalizing the experience. I also like the fact that this tool has tons of activities that are structured in a way that students are successful and can understand the material. The tool provides great feedback for students as well which informs them of their strengths and areas for work or improvement immediately.
How I Use It
Teachers can use this site to help student learn many world languages - Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, or Italian. You can also use this tool with students who speak those languages. This tool can be used by students individually as practice, for homework, and for informal assessment purposes. The tool is setup in the format of a goal or earning points so students do not mind working on this activity. You can also use the site to help in translating, not only for practice. We are a one-to-one district and students practice at home and at school using this tool. Our Spanish teachers assigns a certain amount that must be completed and students enjoy this activity. We have seen a huge difference in students learning and understanding vocabulary. We haven't run into any "problems" with this tool thus far. Our students enjoy learning with this tool.
