My Take
I really enjoyed Digital Compass. Although, characters were used in the game, the situations were realistic. It was a great tool to assess what the students learned, especially that students could print their score. Digital Compass took real life internet situations and made the the game educational, fun, and accessible at the same time. What more could an educator ask for, when teaching such a critical unit?
How I Use It
I used Digital Compass at the end of my Digital Safety unit. This was a great way for students to apply what was learned during this unit. Students loved that they could select a character to explore the interactive games. I even had students come in during recess to continue playing their game.

Using digital compass to navigate through the internet world
Overall I believe that this game could be very useful because it relates to a lot of the issues that current students have on the Internet. And students often probably wonder what path to choose and this game can show them what lies ahead on each pack so that whenever they do encounter this issue they know what is the right choice. Add this Teaches students to take accountability for their actions. What I liked about the game is that it wasn’t just images but that the whole game was filled with animations and that the whole game had multiple characters with different back stories.

Kids Love This!
This tool helped my students learn more about how to stay safe online and navigate some tricky situations when it comes to online media and social websites. This was an engaging way to help students learn more about navigating their online worlds. Excellent product!

Shows Great Emotions
It is simple to use for all students in different learning categories. I can use it with my middle school mandated counseling group population. It shows emotions which is a great tool for discussion during the counseling sessions. I like that it takes place in what looks like a daily environment . it also allows students to relate to the stories presented. I also love the animation use in the site.
