I think this is a great tool for students of all academic levels and provides much needed keyboarding skills to a generation of one-finger-swipers! I would love the option for students to login and return to the level they completed at a previous session. Overall, great tool and useful for grades 3-5 in my computer lab.
How I Use It
I used the Dance Mat Typing website in my computer lab to help students learn keyboarding and typing skills. It's many levels allow students of all levels to excel and be challenged. My students enjoyed the songs and videos and were able to maintain focus for a full period at a time. It's also helpful for my English Language Learners as they practiced letters too!

Fun, engaging, and easy for young children to use and learn through!
I love this website so much and would continue to use it for any elementary school classroom, or for teaching students with disabilities. It is entertaining and teaches children quickly and effectively. I especially like that there is an option to have the keyboard on the screen, and it points out what key you selected, and whether it was correct or not. Super fun and would recommend to any teacher that does not already use it, or for people who need practice typing in general.

Great interactive tool for extreme beginners
It's a great introduction program into typing. However, if teachers want to reinforce and stimulate further learning, they should look for another program to enforce that.
