Community Review for Convene the Council
My Take
This is an interesting educational game in that it deviates from the typical STEM or Reading games that have flooded the market. This game give children a crash course in domestic and foreign politics. It makes children think about policies and the potential benefits and consequences of enacting those policies. Aside from the political aspects of the game, it promotes decision-making and leadership skills.
How I Use It
I think this would be a great game to integrate with a history or social studies class. Additionally, its fun and educational just as a standalone game.

Very informative on foreign policy issues and is engaging, a little too much US propaganda
The game is very engaging and helps students learn about foreign politics. It puts the student in a leadership role and simulates how they would act with responsibilities. Students should be actively learning about these topics while they play the game as it would be hard to understand otherwise. And I know that it's a kids game, but the US propaganda was way over the top and the game ignores historical facts. I think a more nuanced look over the role that US plays in other countries would improve this game a lot.
