My Take
I LOVE Comic Life, and so do my students! It makes creating a professional-looking product easy and fun. Although the newer versions offer a more robust set of tools, the original ComicLife Deluxe meets my classroom needs just fine.
How I Use It
I've used Comic Life (desktop) version since it was first released in 2006. I've used it to teach a variety of subjects: Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, etc. The learning curve is relatively easy. I typically use the term "follow the dots" to know what item is being selected (photo, item frame, caption, etc.). We still use the original version, Comic Life Deluxe, and have not upgraded to version 2 or 3. The newer versions become much more sophisticated, and I've found that the original version is easiest for students to learn.
