Community Review for Code.org
My Take
I think it is a great teaching and learning tool, that students and teachers can learn together. It is a great club, in-class activity, or after school session. It's an absolutely free resource for teachers and students so that all children can have access to computer science, and gain the skills to compete in our global technological society.
How I Use It
Students are able to use Code.org Instructional lessons to learn the basics of coding. Students can complete up to 20 hours per course, and gain basic coding skills. Students should work at their own pace through the different stages. Courses can be taught during computer science week (Hour of Code) or after to further enhance computational thinking skills.
