My Take

I really enjoyed this website and continue to use it today. I liked all of the video tutorials that were included. They were easy for the students to follow and they were always available and easy to return to if a student was stuck and needed a to view it again. I thought the format was great, too. The students watched a video tutorial and then they completed 3-5 puzzles. This repeats as the students work their way through 20 puzzles. The videos introduced a new block that they wanted the students to try in the next set of puzzles. This website is very user friendly! If you want students to be able to save their progress, then you must create a class. This will allow students to complete their hour of code at home and investigate further.

How I Use It

I introduced code.org to my students last year during Computer Science Week. We participated in the Hour of Code and this website was the perfect tool for this! I showed the introductory video to the whole class and then the students worked at their own pace to complete the hour.
