My Take
So far as to introduce coding to my students each year during the "Hour of Code," there's nothing better. They didn't realize they were working and using their brains for computational math. There are a few tweaks I would make to the system, and if you're teaching in depth code, you'll need more.
How I Use It
I used learn.code.org during the nationwide, "Hour of Code." I initially meant to spend one 40 minute class period, but ended up spending several days. Almost all of my students completed the Hour of Code tutorial. I needed a better bridge between learn.code.org and Scratch. I will most certainly repeat the Hour of Code next year.

The best of the best for early coding!
Code.org is an incredible teaching tool. I love how accessible it is for both teachers and students, even those who are brand new to coding. The lessons are engaging, interactive, and designed to be fun, which helps keep students motivated. I also appreciate the wide range of resources and support for educators

beginner friendly good for practicing basic concepts
I think overall this is a relatively good tool to use to begin practicing basic concepts to learn coding. I don't think it is very good for very intermediate level concepts like learning functions or classes but it's very good for learning the basics like variables, loops, lists and so on. I like how there are multiple different types of game related concepts especially familiar ones like Minecraft it makes it more engaging for younger audiences. I do wish that some of the tasks and games would have better performance but I understand that can be very difficult to implement for a multifaceted web design like this. Overall I think it's really great and should definingly be tried to teach beginners

Digital Literacy for the Youth
