My Take

I really like code.org as a teaching tool to help kids understand that they can code. They can understand how computers work and feel more confident in STEM areas.

How I Use It

Students all across my school district worked on code.org for an hour each day for a week. In all of the classrooms my colleagues and I visited during this time, we saw high levels of engagement from students, and excitement about programming. Some teachers used it as a stepping stone to teach students more about programming.
