My Take
I did not find that it was the most successful tool for classroom management especially with the younger students as they are so seemingly fascinated by the animations that coexist beside their name. More than that, I found that at times if I was doing some other activity on the SmartBoard it became an ineffective tool. The up side is that you can download the app to your phone as well and use it if the SB is in use. Unfortunately though, that takes away from the ability for the students to see the status of their behavior. I do like the positive reinforcement that it provides
How I Use It
I used this product with my elementary students during library. I used it to establish classroom management and routine. It worked initially but I found that the students were distracted by the animations. It did work to quiet them down at times and also to provide positive reinforcement. The students enjoyed getting rewards ( sort of a badge system) for positive behavior.
