My Take

I think this is a great teaching tool for a few reasons. I liked it because students are able to create their own poster with individuality, and you can download them to print if needed. I love that the images included are ones that will not break copyright rules, and are safe for students to search without going elsewhere. When we were finished with projects they looked very professional and something students were proud of. One of my favorite new tools!

How I Use It

I have used this website to create great digital posters to send out to teachers about upcoming professional development things coming in our school. I also created some of these to insert into a presentation such as Slides or Nearpod. There are great supports available!

Versatile and Comprehensive

Canva is a great resource for teaching as it has greater functionality than google slides and allows for a higher degree of flexibility and accessibility. For example, the video functionality in Canva has access to an automatic captioning tool that can be edited and translated.

Offers a wide range of tools.

Overall a good tool to help teachers or students find creative ways to complete otherwise mundane tasks/lessons. Offers a wide range of abilities and would be hard to find a way in which in can't be useful.

Canva for Education is a powerful and versatile tool

Canva for Education is a powerful and versatile tool that empowers educators to create stunning visuals and engaging learning materials. It offers a user-friendly interface and a vast library of templates, making it easy to design everything. The real difference between the normal canva and the educational one is what its gonna mostly be used for. As the name suggests educational canva will probably be geared to more students and teachers, offering educational aspects. For me, Canva's tools for creating accessible content is a great way to ensure that all students can participate in their creativity.
