My Take
Having two iconic characters featured in every video breeds familiarity and engagement with the new material. They both invoke excitement for learning, and along with the humorous little segments of the videos, the educational videos are incredibly useful for introducing new topics or providing broad information about material. The activities aren't super novel, but they are well-designed and well-supported, making for great resources in addition to each of the videos.
How I Use It
I actually grew up with BrainPop and BrainPop Jr., and I always found the videos very fun, engaging, and importantly, very helpful for learning broad ideas about topics. As an adult, now, the platform still holds up its quality and engagement with its videos and activities.

Provides brief and understandable explanations about new topics

BrainPOP is awesome for young learners!
I do think brainPOP is great for young learners. This teaching tool is very interactive, you will find things like quizzes, small assignments, and little activities during the video to mess around with. The video is also great for young learners, they make it so students don't feel distracted. In other words, brainPOP makes learning fun! I liked all these things, I like interactive teaching tool that does more than play a video on a topic.
