Brain Pop is not free but is very resourceful. It has many topics to choose from that students can watch. Toby is the character in each video. What I like the most are the vast array of assessments students can use.

My Take
As a teaching tool this product is great. Student can work at their own pace and watch the video many times. I use this product for substitute work as well. I print the activities and grade the assessments.

I use this product to reinforce classroom discussions as well as introduce new learning.

BrainPOP is awesome for young learners!
I do think brainPOP is great for young learners. This teaching tool is very interactive, you will find things like quizzes, small assignments, and little activities during the video to mess around with. The video is also great for young learners, they make it so students don't feel distracted. In other words, brainPOP makes learning fun! I liked all these things, I like interactive teaching tool that does more than play a video on a topic.
