My Take
I like that the videos keep their interest and they look forward to watching them. Sometimes topics that are "dry" are best covered using these videos. There is closed captioning available which I have found to be valuable for my hearing impaired. There are free videos and then there are paid only.
How I Use It
I usually use these videos with my flipped learning. I have the students watch the videos, sometimes as a whole class, sometimes individually. You can have them take the quiz in BrainPop, but I create my own questions based on the knowledge I am looking to check for understanding.

Provides brief and understandable explanations about new topics
I believe that this tool is extremely helpful in educational settings. The animations of the videos help students remain attentive while watching videos and ensure that they have a brief understanding of the topics.

BrainPOP is awesome for young learners!
I do think brainPOP is great for young learners. This teaching tool is very interactive, you will find things like quizzes, small assignments, and little activities during the video to mess around with. The video is also great for young learners, they make it so students don't feel distracted. In other words, brainPOP makes learning fun! I liked all these things, I like interactive teaching tool that does more than play a video on a topic.
