My Take
While I would not recommend that BrainPop ever take the place of teacher- or student-led instruction, it is certainly optimal for reviewing concepts and facts related to specific lessons and concepts being taught.
How I Use It
I often use BrainPop videos as a quick review or summary of a lesson or concept in science. Our current science textbook website offers several videos related to concepts covered in our state CSOs

Provides brief and understandable explanations about new topics
I believe that this tool is extremely helpful in educational settings. The animations of the videos help students remain attentive while watching videos and ensure that they have a brief understanding of the topics.

BrainPOP is awesome for young learners!
I do think brainPOP is great for young learners. This teaching tool is very interactive, you will find things like quizzes, small assignments, and little activities during the video to mess around with. The video is also great for young learners, they make it so students don't feel distracted. In other words, brainPOP makes learning fun! I liked all these things, I like interactive teaching tool that does more than play a video on a topic.
