My Take

I used Brain Pop to facilitate a "Parts of Speech" study for my sixth grade students. I, along with the students, like the Tim and Moby videos. Students liked that they could replay the video and that there was a follow up activity to help them practice the concepts taught in the video.

How I Use It

I used Brain Pop to facilitate a "Parts of Speech" study for my sixth grade students. Students would first watch the video on nouns, verbs, etc. and then we would complete the definitions together. Next, we would complete the practice activity provided by Brain Pop. There weren't practice activities for all of the parts of speech activities, so sometimes, I would have to find and copy my own. After practicing the skill for a few days, we would then take the quiz, provided by Brain Pop. All in all, this worked quite well.
