My Take
This is one of my favorite apps for all grade levels. It is simple to use and even young students pick up on the editing protocols very quickly. It is not another "skill and drill" app, students can be creative and it is applicable for any grade level. My students also love that they are "published" authors when we export their books into the iBook app. Students are engaged and enjoy using it over and over again.
How I Use It
This is an excellent app for all areas of curriculum because it is a blank slate perfect for student creation. Students can create books on any subject, add voice recordings, pictures, videos, music, etc. and publish them to iBooks. I especially like using Book Creator with my struggling readers. The combination of typing text and voice recording gives them a scaffolding to ensure they can express their ideas completely.
