Great way to make a PowerPoint interactive & cloud accessible
Community Review for Apollo
My Take
Overall I think Atlas has some great potential. I'm not sure if it's worth it at it's current price point, but it is definitely interesting technology. My students were very much engaged and I did have viewers from outside of the class following along with the lesson. the technology and possibilities are definitely interesting, I would definitely recommend signing up for the free trial and giving it a try. The $10 a month might definitely be worth if for some teachers, but might not be for others.
How I Use It
I used Apollo when it was first in development. It was a very interesting way to share a slide deck with a full class of students. The interactivity came from the ability to add quizzes and give control to to other users. This was a great way to take a traditional presentation and make it far more engaging and interactive.
In addition, while I did not use it in this way, I see great potential to use Atlas to connect a classroom with students unable to be there in person. Students who are out due to illness, or in rural areas, possibly during inclement weather, these are all ways I see Atlas can be used to engage students.
