My Take

Overall, I love the simplicity of Animoto. The features are very easy to use, and the music and transitions are timed perfectly to go with their slides. This allows students a chance to showcase their creativity in so many ways. Plus, with 30 free student accounts you can't beat the price. One thing that could be changed is to allow more text on a slide, or to be able to change transitions. Many features are built in to Animoto, which makes the choices for students limiting. But overall I love it!

How I Use It

The 6th grade class created "Book Trailers" using Animoto. They watched several examples, wrote a script, and then were able to create a video using Animoto. The purpose was to create interest in their book of choice, and they worked on using snappy text and great visuals to get their classmates' attention.

Great for Beginners

I like that it so easy to use, but I would say that it is something for beginners and if you are more advanced and like to be more hands-on with your projects to maybe go for a different program.

Easy to use and great for visualizations

The product is amazing, as it is extremely easy for students to use. The results are those of professional videos without the extensive need for software and video editing skills.

Good app that is beginner friendly as well!

In my opinion, this app is very good! and beginner friendly as well! For someone who is just being introduced to video making, or just wants a quick way to make a nice video, this is the app for you.
