My Take
I was impressed with Animoto's simplicity and ease of use. It's availability on desktops and mobile devices (particularly iOS), and easy access to free-use music sound tracks are big pluses.
I was a little disappointed that the Education plan doesn't open up additional slideshow options, although I was glad that the 1 minute restrictions on video length were removed. I do understand the need to do this though - and I highly recommend Animoto as a top quality creation tool.
How I Use It
I used this with a group of Grade 4 students who wanted to share their photos from a class excursion to a local art/sculpture exhibition.
I also used this to create a slideshow to share photos of the school Swimming Carnival with parents.
