Great way to collaborate with other students
Overall, I think that Discord is a great tool to use. Although, at first discord can be hard to use but it in the end it is great for communication and collaboration. Teachers are able to create servers and within the servers there will be different channels that both the student and teacher can access. There are also voice channels that can be helpful if students need to talk directly to a teacher.

Great engaging way to keep students focused and easy organize.
Discord's user interface is relatively easy to use. For each teacher's need, they would need to learn how to set up a discord server and take the time to set up the server itself. When setting up a server you need to create different voice and text channels. Once set up, it's very easy for students to know where a resource is and if not, they effortlessly browse through different channels. I found it useful to have an "Important announcements" channel where students can quickly see upcoming due dates and information. Teachers also have conventional tools found in zoom, such as screen sharing, video calling, muting students, and breakout rooms.

Rally Great
Definitely a great app for communication! I use Discord every day to talk to friends, communities, and the like in order to easily connect with people while at home or while I am out and about. 5/5 would definitely suggest trying this application out. The best feature I like is ability to add bots to discord. Those bots do all the pesky jobs. Would recommend using it.

This application is a solid choice. It is a little harder to use than zoom but that is because you can do more with it such has changing the volume of individual users. The best way to describe discord is to view it as a more casual version of Slack
It has a learning curve from Zoom but it works well and I would argue much better than Zoom when fully mastered.

Amazing tool to streamline communication and create a classroom like chat environment.
I like this tool a lot for the chatroom-like environment and ability to monitor a server and each channel users are in. Additionally, the organization of how different channels can represent different subjects allows for chats to stay on topic. As an admin, you have very tight control of what occurs so it would work well with students if some are getting off task or posting non-topic related things. There is sort of a learning curve to this service which might cause some resistance to first-time users but it is quickly learned after a few uses.

Communication Outside the Classroom
Discord is a vast, yet useful tool that educators can use to center the classroom’s communication both in and out of the actual classroom. It can be somewhat tricky for tech novice educators to set up a discord server for their class, but the discord tutorials and guides for setting up servers and channels mitigate most of the upfront shock and struggle. It offers a plethora of features that some educators may be unfamiliar with, whereas their students might know them quite well. Discord is best used as a tool for older students since they are mainly the ones who utilize it in their own social circles and personal time and have the proper understanding for rules, etc. Teachers can set up text and voice channels where students can join together to discuss topics and teachers can even join to answer questions and concerns, overall increasing the effectiveness of educational communication.

Great communication tool that connects students in the same class or subjects
Overall while Discord is not primarily a teaching tool, it still does well to organize and connect students and create a large database where they can help each other and share information about the class. It also serves as a convenient tool for students to stay updated on the class and future students to look back and see what the class is like. Classes feel more like a community when using Discord and is much more comforting knowing there is a safe, convenient place for a student to find others like them.
