Wow, this a great resource for after school science programs.
If you are pressed for time like we are, Mystery Science is just the resource for you. The content, handout, prep lists are stellar and the units are brief. However beware, it appears that Myster Science rotates their units. For instance, Melissa M. from Staten Island used unit #9: What would life be like without machines? in here lesson plan which was post February 2016. It is April and the unit is no longer listed.

It's No Mystery with Mystery Science
I love Mystery Science as a teaching tool. It is very interactive and it integrates several modalities for different learning styles. Students are able to work at their own pace and units are also available for students to work on at home. (ie: homebound students or absent students) The video use "real world" examples to help students validate learning.
