Refine Your Students Problem Solving Skills with Cuethink!
I have seen students’ engagement soar with CueThink. It helps students refine their problem solving skills and supports the development and demonstration of conceptual understanding. CueThink promotes collaboration among students when they look at each other’s work and provide feedback using specific sentence stems. The website provides comprehensive resources for effective implementation of CueThink in the Math class. The different rubric summaries available are very helpful to view students achievement over time, on a specific problem or on a specific phase of the problem-solving model. Great tool to inform future instruction and next steps in the delivery of the Math program.
By adopting engaging tools in the classroom, teachers may be able to transform feelings about learning and mathematics by changing the focus from teaching facts and skills to building positive relationships between children and mathematics. The way that children feel about mathematics profoundly influences what they do with it and how they reflect on it, which in turn influences how knowledge grows and connects. (Colgan, Lynda. Research Monograph #56: Making Math Children Will Love: Building Positive Mathitudes to Improve Students Achievement in Mathematics. August 2014. Web.)

Great way to learn in groups
The recording feature is my favorite feature. It gives the students who are shy the ability to communicate with their group. I love how the group can comment on each others solution. I feel that this program is great for those students who need visual aids. It makes learning fun.

ENGAGING, easy to use app for math classrooms!
My students LOVE cue think. They love making their "presentation" on their app and explaining it to others. They also like going in and commenting on others Thinklets. It is a great way to keep the students engaged and also present harder problems that may take more time to complete then just one class period. I am able to comment on their Thinklets and it is easy for them to see those comments! Overall, I love having access to this app in my classroom and would totally recommend this for any math teacher.

Math + social = Engagement in CueThink
I LOVE CueThink. It breaks down the ominous aspect of word problems into phases, which allow for success for different learners. They have the opportunity to mention what they notice, highlight, wonder, and give estimates WAY before they start to solve it. It slows down those math students that read the problem and "instantly" know the answer (which in some cases is totally off). I've had really reluctant students actually enjoy solving the problems. The best piece is the student gallery where they get to see each other's solutions. That is really motivating and they look the most forward to that aspect of the program. The other great aspect is you can search by standard of the problem banks already provided. This is incredibly helpful as I'm locating additional word problems to use.
