Are you SELS ready?
As a teacher you do not always have time to de-escalate every issue, so technology has been a great asset in our classroom to sort of help micro-manage some on going issues in our classroom. I like how there is a timer for what is going on because the students do not have a lot of time recognition, so having that visual is a great asset to the app as well.
This has made my teaching better because the student just looks at the app and reaches for help and we have taught him how to do so, so our teaching is not interrupted as much as it used to be.

Great product for the Pass Program and/or ISS Program
The product would work very well with my behavior students (PASS) and students who are placed in the In school suspension (ISS) programs. The students would be able to understand why they act a certain way and how to control their actions.

Great tool to teach meditation!
As a teaching tool in a course that deals with stress and consciousness, Smiling Mind is great. It definitely has potential for use with students who have emotional and behavioral disorders too as a means of calming and refocusing their minds on something more positive. In terms of applications in a regular classroom with other academic subjects, I am not sure that it has much application.
