Freckle is a very good teaching tool!
I love using Freckle as a teaching tool. I like that each student is working on his or her own level. I like that I can monitor their progress, and give specific assignments. I like the benchmark tests, and that I can challenge higher students. Sometimes this is difficult to do.
My only critique would be that sometimes the videos to help with the problems do not exactly match and are not as helpful as they could be.

Not what I thought it would do.
My students liked that they could earn coins for answering the questions correctly, but the pre-test didn't match with the actual problems . They were always coming up to me and asking how to do it. Even though they got it wrong on the pre-test. It should not of been on their other work if they got it wrong. ?

An all-in-one interactive tutorial across the curriculum.
This is an awesome tool to use in the classroom; everyone has an entry point with the content. I have used it for years and will continue to use it to help my students experience a variety of text styles and math questions. I like that it can fulfill the needs of advanced learners as well as those who are struggling.

Perfect for differentiation and independent work
I had never heard of Freckle before stumbling upon it through Common Sense. After reading through reviews and details. I was immediately in love and had to start right away! I started with just math and ELA, having students take a pretest for fractions and assigning reading inference work. I then began exploring the social studies lessons. I love the options, resources, and engagement the social studies lessons provide, particularly the “Global Communities” section.

Full of mistakes and irrelevant questions
Be more culturally relevant. Why are there financial literacy questions bout buying a yacht? How many kids does that apply to?

I love that I can collect data for math and ElA in one place for each of my students. Front Row makes it easy to differentiate lessons, and the kids love earning coins, as well as having a choice in what they want to learn about.

Great way to use standards based assessments and targeted interventions in math, and ELA. Social Studies and Science units provide engaging activities and leveled nonfiction articles.
Front Row is a powerful product. If you have the school edition you will be able to track growth, assign unlimited grade level ELA articles, and have full access to all activities and articles in the Social Studies and Science. If you just have a free account you will have to make do and there will be some gaps in how you can apply the program and what you can assign or teach.
I only have the free edition, but it has been a valuable tool, especially with regards to mathematics. The adaptive practice meets the needs of advanced learners, grade level learners, and students in need of intervention.

Very engaging to students!
Serves all students well. Advanced learners progress quickly. Videos help those who are having difficulty. English learners can have the questions read to them.
