Used lessons in prep for end of course testing in spring.

I think this tool is amazing, but I would like to see pre-built lesson plans for these specific lessons for those teachers who would use it as a guide/teaching lesson or opportunity. I have not become as familiar with the program as of yet, so there may be some that I have not discovered yet. Being new to the program, however, I am very pleased as to what it has to offer.

My overall take is that this app would be very appropriate and helpful to the students who need extra support with grammar. I liked that it was interactive, and in that way, (even ) the topic of grammar can be made engaging. Students can learn appropriate grammar and word usage and then transfer this knowledge into their own writing.

This program is versatile in that it can be used as independent work, small group or whole group instruction. In group discussion, students learn from successes and failures while arguing over how to find all the mistakes in a reading selection! My only criticism is I wish there was more content. Thank you quill for a great product :)

I enjoy using this tool for intervention strategies with lower level students. We had a problem getting a student logged in one time and called the help line. Someone answered right away and within a minute they had the problem fixed.

I view this as a reviewing tool right now since I just started using Quill. I can also see it being used as a reinforcement tool. I think I will adjust my purposes for its use as the year progresses. I like it because this saves paper and I can check each student's results online wherever I am without having to carry a lot of paper.

I was very impressed with the ease of use and user friendly setup! I have little time to dig through pages of instructions to find out how to link or connect different platforms with products, and Quill just did it for me! It was great! The children were able to access the site easily, and manipulate the assignments with ease. Another favorite feature is the fact I can assign specific lessons to specific students, making it a great resource for personalized instruction, too. And today is only the second day I have been using my Quill account! I can't wait to see what I can do with it tomorrow!!!

Makes me mad

I think this is a great tool if you are using it as a form of grammar practice. The instant feedback is valuable to students. It also provides the instructor with feedback on individual students including areas of strengths and weaknesses. The variety of activities one can assign to students is beneficial.

This is very useful for ELL students, because they need rote practice, and they can get individualized correction more quickly. It also gives them practice in typing and is particular about using periods and capitals correctly. My advanced students were definitely challenged by the exercises in parallel structure. It is a technique that will also help them produce better writing. I hope that the creators of Quill will keep adding more exercises! Of course, it is great that it is FREE!!
