Coding for kids
This product is a great way to introduce students to coding in a friendly and fun manner. The activities build on themselves and allow students of all skill levels to work at their own pace. Hints and tips also allow those who might struggle a chance to figure out the answers on their own. One of the best things about this product is how engaged the students are when they are working on their coding activity. Students who normally struggle to pay attention for longer periods were completely engrossed for the duration of their lesson while using this site.

Great website to introduce students to coding.
I fell that my students were able to build their higher order thinking skills and problem solving skills with Code.org. There was real-world application for the students also, which was great for them.

Code.org is engaging, exciting, and motivating for my students. They LOVE it and so do I.
I think this is a really great resource for teachers and for students. As the teacher you can set up your class and monitor their progress through different activities. Students can have accounts with usernames and passwords, or they can use "secret words" to log in. My students love the different themed activities and have a ton of fun! I also love that many of the activities allow you to "see the code" by clicking on a button and switching the blocks to the actual code behind them. Wonderful site, I recommend it!

Great introduction to block-based programming.
Code.org is set up very well, using levels and stages. The introductory videos to each level are great for students, just make sure they have headphones for the videos. The variety of levels is great, and students enjoy switching games/characters/challenges.
One issue I have is that when completing a stage (puzzle) with too many blocks, the program allows you to move on without correcting the misuse of blocks. In this way, students sometimes guess and are able to move on without understanding their mistake.

Coding is the Key that unlocks creativity
I liked the simplicity and ease of use while demonstrating linear thinking of coding. I really enjoyed it myself and watching learners create. Being able to actually see the code was useful too so we were able to try to make sense of what is another language. Having a variety of coding activities that were theme based engaged everyone. Course 2 was worthwhile and we really liked the unplugged activities as well for variety and used these as discussion and reflection points. Overall a great differentiation tool.

Perfect way to introduce coding to younger students!
I loved code.org for the purposes of introducing coding. I did take some time before I taught the lessons to go in and try the tutorials myself, which helped me answer questions that student shad. This site is so engaging for students and has created a passion for coding in several! I think with the simplicity of the tutorials, I was able to learn quickly and the students found instant success. This will serve as a platform for other coding activities in the future.

Great Introduction to Coding
I really liked this product and how it taught coding to students who had no experience with it prior. I preferred the apps in code.org that also incorporated typing the code rather than just dragging and dropping. It served my kids and my teaching by allowing them to create a game that is highly engaging but requires them to incorporate learning objectives into their game so that they are thinking and learning while having fun.

Great introduction in how to code!
The site has introduction videos and then takes the students step by step through how to do the most simple coding instructions to more complex ideas. I wouldn't use it whole group, since it is such an individually geared website, but would recommend it to any students interested in learning more about how to code. I always recommend they start with one of the "Hour of Code" choices!

Coding Made Easy!
I think that this site is great and the students that I have used this site with have all loved the lessons. The website offers lessons for all different levels of learners. This is a great site to add into the year as their is time or to have the students work through as a class.
While there are many different levels of lessons for the kids to begin with, sometimes the characters are a little young for the middle school students. The games are intuitive and educational and bring the idea of coding down to a level that allows participation for any learner.
