High engagement that incorporates visuals and vocabulary
Fantastic teaching tool. The ability to add visuals and videos supports visual learners and ELL students. I love the ability to export quiz results to Excel quickly and easily. I would like the ability to add audio to create listening elements.

Great for formative assessment
This a great tool for formative assessment. It is super-engaging and and there hasn't been class that hasn't loved it. Adding images and video is easy and there are thousands of Kahoot!s that are already made. Teachers can duplicate most of them so if you need a quick class pick up it works very well.

Brings life back to quiz quizzes, checks for understanding, & collaborative learning
This game based quiz creation program takes stress out of timed questions. High School students love signing in; It even has lobby music! Create a nickname option allows for anonymity & teaming. Each question is set with its own countdown timer. Sound effects & the Leaderboard have great appeal. With iPads, the full-color screen buttons are easy targets for quick responses. Not only can I make my own questions but it connects to a borrow/lending community.Mandatory images are added to questions by you or by Kahoot. And it collates data immediately after the quiz.

A fun and easy way to gamify learning in your classroom
It is just a tool. However, with good teaching, this is a great tool for assessing what kids know and what they don't. I really like how it award points for correct answers and reveals the leader board after each question (optional) . The video option is really a bonus. Student can track their own understanding while maintaining a competitive spirit as they challenge each other to be first to answer correctly. It's also each to share and find Kahoots that others have made public that may be applicable to your classroom.

Add a fun competition activity to classroom learning.
I really enjoy using Kahoot in my classroom. It brings a game element into the classroom and allows for some healthy competition within the student body. It is a great review tool, but it does take a good amount of time to set up questions for the game.

Great game based app that allows for instant assessment of student learning.
This app allows you to create quizzes that students respond to using smart phones or tablets. Quizzes can be single or multiple questions and allow for text and images. You show the quiz at the front of the room on a TV screen or interactive whiteboard, and students use tablets or smartphones to responds. If every students has access to a device, you can have them work individually. If not, have them create teams. To differentiate, you can read the questions and answers. The app is similar to quiz games that are popular in bars and restaurants, where the quicker you respond, the higher the score, creating a friendly competition. The best part is that you can immediately gauge how well students have learned a particular concept without a written assignment or quiz.
