Easy to use interactive quiz/survey for immediate feedback
This is a simple and very engaging tool. It is probably most effective used regularly but sparingly -- kids love the format but the limited text fields for questions and answers prevent the teacher from asking anything of much depth. Could be useful in an advisor group situation to survey student opinions on controversial topics as the responses are posted anonymously.

Interactive way to get kids interested in their learning capabilities and helps to maintain and engage their enthusiasm!
Unfortunately, there is no way to track performance or growth or save data for an extended amount of time.

Quick engagement your students will LOVE
I think it is a great tool. It is immediately engaging--don't forget to turn the sound on--and great for instant feedback. It could allow for more characters for each question, and offer some non-login quiz creation for students. My students mentioned they'd like to use it to make quizzes for their classmates. For now I'm planning on allowing them access to create literacy circle questions.

Awesome App for Gamifying Your Assessments
This is a great application for reluctant, struggling learners. It immediately grabbed their attention. The time limit on the questions really kept the activity moving and didn't allow them to get off task. I think it's great for pre-assessments or exit tickets. Students won't even know they are demonstrating what they know or don't know. It works on any internet-enabled device making it a great tool for the BYOD classroom.

It was an excellent review/summarization tool as it made participants think about the evening's learning.

This is such a FUN activity for kids!
I dislike multiple-choice questions in general, and Kahoot works best with that sort of format, so it kind of forces me to put complex concepts into small questions with limited text. However, the engagement makes it worth it, and it CAN be used to teach complex concepts DURING the game when students are at that heightened engagement level.

Kahoot! is a Hoot for Middle Schoolers!
My overall opinion about this course is that it is GREAT! Students come into my classroom every day and ask if we are going to "play" Kahoot! You can imagine their disappointment when I tell them "not today". Some times we repeat the Kahoot, so students get another chance at questions they may have answered incorrectly.
As a teacher, I can see if my students are actually ready to take the unit exam or if I need to go over some concepts more. I looked at my unit exam grades from last year to this year and there was a HUGE jump! I can thank Kahoot for that. Students can review the material and be ENGAGED the entire class period. It also allows me to see if I need to explain a concept differently.

Great collision of gaming and review for your class!
I loved the end result and the student participation. What was difficult was loading the questions and answers on the front end. For a 20 question game I spent over an hour typing the question, selecting a picture, four answer options and setting the time frame. Twenty seconds worked well for my class, you could extend or shorten the time based on your student population. My only criticism would be the time developing the Kahoot. The results outweigh the time factor though.
