I absolutely love Prodigy and am so glad that a colleague shared it with me. Before, many students reported that math was their least favorite subject. Now, many students find math to be fun because they are engaged in game based practice. I feel that Prodigy's approach takes out the fear and reluctance that are often associated with math and transforms it into motivation because of the competition factor. My class this year had 24 out of 26 students make at least 1 year's growth on our school benchmark- many of whom scored well above the end of the year goal. My only "negative" is that some students played quite a bit at the beginning of the school year and experienced some burn out toward the end of the year. I'm not sure how this could be avoided other than me being thoughtful as to how much we play in school.

I really like this teaching tool. I have many students who have test anxiety, so being able to assess them in a fun non-traditional way is wonderful. Prodigy has also helped some of my students who didn't like math before become more engaged in math. Because it aligns to my states standards I feel confident in my students using it for test prep and practice.

It was wonderful! Students love to battle each other and show off their math skills!

This tool is so motivating for ALL students, including those struggling and those excelling. Students beg to play Prodigy, not even realizing how much math they are completing while doing so. It is great for students and for teachers. It helps students practice and gain understanding, while it shows teachers where students can grown and gain more knowledge.

I love Prodigy and using it in my classroom, especially because of how engaging it is. It helps make practicing math even more fun and allows to you differentiate by assigning different students questions on a concept at different levels. They have useful reports but could kick it up a notch by making them available to be exported as excel spreadsheets.

Students love using this game as it is engaging and they quickly fail to realize that they are actually practicing their math skills. Students quickly become engaged in the various worlds and competitions and want to see who can make it to the end of the quest first. Students oftentimes want to be rewarded with recognition for answering the most questions. It is also fun to see students that are attempting to try and take on the teacher in battles to see who can beat them.

This is amazing. The fun interactive game allows even my behavior students to enjoy math. They work incredibly hard during work time to get prodigy time.
