Great app for knowing what your students understand!
As I am a multigrade classroom teacher, the confusion barometer is a much needed function. By GoSoapBox including this feature in this app, I anticipate having functionality enabling me to pinpoint issues and assist students in both an effective and efficient manner.

Interactive formative assessment and engagement tool great for BYOD
Go SoapBox is an engaging tool to use with students to gather their understanding of a particular topic (through the quizzes or discussion option) and use as a formative assessment. Additionally, it can be used to introduce a unit. Teachers can use the polling feature to peak student interest in a new topic. I like that Go Soapbox allows participants to notify teachers when they are having issues or do not understand a particular item they are being asked to complete. Overall Go Soapbox is an effective tool to engage students, provide teachers with feedback and give students access to sharing their ideas and thoughts on certain concepts digitally.

The most capable and easy to use student response tool out there!
This is my "go-to" student response tool. Its many features allow it to be used as a simple Q & A, quiz or survey but also allow teachers to deepen the experience by conducting open and moderated discussions. It's a great way to allow a student thinking time to respond when he/she is less comfortable verbalizing and raising his/her hand.
As a teacher I find the ability to review student responses very helpful in determining how students are understanding the material and targeting their need for follow up instruction before an assessment. More options for multimedia for questions would be nice, as well as the ability to make the quiz competitive like other sites like Kahoot.it do, but overall I find it the most capable free student response tool out there.

Interactive tool for class quizzes, discussions, and more.
Free, content area agnostic, and includes the use of technology on a passive level. I enjoy Go Soapbox from what I've seen so far. This tool allows the teacher and the students to focus on and deepen content understandings without the technology tool getting in the way of the learning/information. Anytime and anywhere access is also possible via mobile devices. That's always a plus. The support center is just that, supportive, although I didn't need to use it. Would like a way to more easily include images and websites for further support for the students that would benefit from those resources within a discussion, poll, or quiz. Otherwise, a great online option for quick formative information gathering and surface level summative assessments.

A Wonderful Way to Create an Interactive Classroom
This is a great product and the price (free) is right. The students like it, it has a smooth interface, and the overall effect is strong and intuitive.

A sophisticated and user-friendly student response system with a clean look and lots of handy features.
GoSoapBox allows a teacher to prepare their question prompts, polls, discussions, and quizzes ahead of time. Within the created “event,” or online classroom, a teacher can open up or hide those pre-made activities at the exact time during a lesson that they need them. The best feature is by far that you can pre-load your student response system prompts before a lesson and deploy them when ready, including quizzes. What is missing currently from this tool is that you cannot translate open-ended responses into a poll for consensus-building activities. I like that it can store your previous events and you can leave the access code the same to allow students to revisit ideas shared during a GoSoapBox event, such as brain-storming sessions in the discussion section. It functions very smoothly on the mobile web and provides kids with a clean interface. Their pricing model allows free classroom access, but only up to 30 students. While this is a very generous pricing model, many middle and high school classrooms have more than 30 students, which makes it less accessible to all teachers to use. It is a perfect tool for facilitating staff meetings, professional development, or workshops with adult learners. The investment of a premium account for a school would be well worth it, because it could be a go-to tool for engaging teachers during meetings and continuing education. In the classroom, it could serve kids better if it had the capability to share images or links in addition to text. Overall, this is one of my go-to web tools, and my top pick for a student-response system app.

This is a A+, 5-star tool. The official review is dead wrong.
This is an amazing tool. Engage the whole class. Know what kids are going to say before you call on them (by previewing their written responses). Keep the discussion focused on your learning objectives and know where gaps in understanding exist. Put all of the computing power in your classroom (cellphones) to good use. There are an endless number of ways to deploy Go Soapbox.
