This is a very engaging app that provides an alternative way to present lessons.
I think this is an excellent product and would recommend it to any teacher at any grade level. There are many free lessons available in the library to get started and it is very easy to create new lessons or convert PowerPoint lessons into nearpod lessons.

Easy to create interactive multimedia presentations!
I like this tool because it gets students more involved with content that is being shared. A teacher can require that a student respond or interact using such a tool where merely using a presentation tool allows only those students who are called on to be able to interact. One aspect I do not like is that you can only have 50 participants logged in at once.

A way to make slide decks engaging and interactive
I used this a lot at the beginning of the year but since I don't do a lot of presentations using slide desks, I started using other online resources. In addition, uploading my pre-made presentations took a while--since some of them are very image heavy, I would have to divide them into more than one Nearpod. If my teaching involved more presentations, I would probably use this resource more often.
I liked that every student could see the presentation on his/her device, that they couldn't leave the Nearpod app without me knowing, and the ability to get realtime feedback on student understanding. My school has a gold account for the teachers who teach students with ipads, and we were well supported by Nearpod, receiving in person training and online support.
My students were engaged overall but we had to wait until every student had completed a quiz or question before moving on which made the process slower (and made students less engaged). This, in addition to not doing many presentations, has caused me to use less and less of Nearpod this year.
