Notability is a great app for students who need to take notes. And who doesn't? The iCloud backup has saved many students too! It's great!

The recording feature can allow a student to take notes with the instructors voice. The recording feature can also be used as a creation tool within the app. I have seen teachers have students work a math problem and explain their thinking while working the problem. This recording feature is an excellent tool to use in the classroom for notes and out of the classroom for homework assignments.

As a teaching tool, this is the smoothest app for allowing a teacher or student to write on an iPad for individual work, or to show whole class. It is frustrating to deal with lag at having the writing show up on the screen or being limited in the amount you can scroll down. While after a while students get used to using the app and seeing you use it, they don't ever seem to lose the desire to want to write on a tablet and have it shown to the class. It isn't the best for importing pictures or documents and then writing over them. Mighty Notes does a better job of that. I highly recommend this to facilitate handwriting on an iPad.

Great use of my and the students time. Students backUp to DropBox and can return and improve their work and do so because they've enjoyed working in the app so much.

Notability is a great writing tool for notes, organizing, exporting, sharing and recording. My student use the app and share their work with me by uploading their work into a google drive folder. I like everything about notability.

Love this app. Every student would be more productive with this app.

Students and teachers like using Notability for several reasons. It is a great tool for note taking, and we use it to deliver scanned documents, and paper activities for students. Using Notability, students can write on the document using their tablets, and teachers can annotate on the document as well. Using Notability, teachers can grade right on their tablets instead of taking stacks of papers home. Students enjoy using the various features Notability offers. If a students misses a class, notes, drawings and other media forms can be airdropped to a student very quickly and efficiently. A stylus enhances the use of Notablility.

I would give Notablity 4.9 out of 5 stars. My only complaint is that the notes are stored in a proprietary format. You can easily send your notes to someone in the form of a PDF, but otherwise you have to have the app to be able to edit.

I seriously love the Notability app. The features are comprehensive. Overall this app provides tools to help you be the best teacher you can be! When connected to Apple TV or the Reflector App on your computer, you can use this app and become a mobile teacher. You are no longer stuck teaching in the front of the room! It also increases student engagement, especially when projecting student work. Students can also connect to the Apple TV or the Reflector App on your computer and "Air Share" their work. ...Notability does take some time to learn how to navigate, but you will be zooming along in your teaching once you learn how to drive the app. Your students will love it too. There is a similar free app called UPAD lite that is good for student use as well.

This is the app that I would recommend to any teacher taking on iPads in the classroom. It has revolutionized the way I teach. It allows students to annotate PDF's, not only with writing, typing, and graphics, but also with voice recordings. It also allows me to annotate the students work with capturing video and audio so the students can see and hear my comments. I can not recommend this app enough.
