Honestly I don't like this website.
I don't recommend this "learning platform". Every time a kid gets a question wrong it makes them have to get 2 in a row to continue. When they get a question wrong there is an explanation on how to figure out the answer, but it doesn't help at all. Sometimes if you spell a word it automatically spell checks it and makes it a different word when you hit submit. Both of my kids don't like this website even though they love learning. Would not recommend.

I honestly hate it
The website in question is not an ideal platform for teaching children, as it follows a discouraging method of penalizing mistakes. Every time a child answers a question incorrectly, the website imposes an additional three questions that do not even contribute towards the final score. This approach can be demotivating for children and may hinder their learning progress. Therefore, it is recommended to look for alternative websites that adopt a more constructive and positive teaching methodology for children.

MY Option
okay i'm sorry but this is the worst website ever now this website says its to help you master the skill for example i had a comma no red ink assignment half my students it took them almost 3 hours to do because of the fact that when you get a question wrong it makes you do 3 to get back on track. but during those 3 questions their normally not the same concept or type of question as the one you got wrong. finally when it gives you the popup saying "looks like your having some trouble check here to get help" than it gives you this paper about how to do it which doesn't help you because its just for in general not that question i'm sorry if you love this app but this is my honest opinion.

Worthless
I don’t think this is going to help my child understand grammar at all and is completely unnecessary. It is too easy to rush through the assignments and try to guess at the answers, rather than taking the time to read the questions carefully and answer the questions. This app is at best mediocre and the work that his teacher assigns, could be accomplished using pencil and paper. It is not engaging and no kid is going to understand grammar using this video game.

No Red Ink No Real Issue
Overall, I think this is a great supplemental tool that is more technically engaging than drills on the whiteboard or workbooks. Students like the interactivity and the ability to work at their own pace. I as a teacher love the sheer amount of organized data it provides to help me plan instruction.

Discriminates against homeschooling and small schools
No Red Ink discriminates against small schools and homeschooling. You need 200 students to get the premium. Ridiculous.

I can see the appeal, but have not seen the effectiveness
I feel that while NoRedInk can be useful for practicing grammar, I feel that it is not good for teaching it. The problems it gives are frequently repeated, to the point where I've done assignments by memorizing the questions, rather than knowing the content. To me, NoRedInk is better suited for an elementary school or middle school class, but not high school. A big problem I have is that it asks for the interest of the user, but instead of using them in situations that would make sense to the character, and by extension the user, it instead will just throw the name in, making it jarring, to say the least. It is good for homework assignments, with its ease of access and work-paper styled questions. So, to conclude, NoRedInk is good for re-enforcing and practicing knowledge but is not well equipped for teaching students new information.

Students Learn with their own interest
The website is easy to use and follow. Teachers can easily replace paper worksheets with this application, because the teacher can issue lessons directly to the students. Because the program in self guided, students can complete amongst themselves to see who can complete the most number of lessons.

Best tool I've seen for getting students excited about grammar!
I love using NoRedInk in my classroom. It engages students in grammar lessons far better than other resources I have tried. It also allows students who already have a strong grasp of a concept to move quickly through a lesson and move on to other activities, while automatically providing students who are struggling with a concept with the additional practice they need.

Combines student interests with grammar practice.
This is much better than workbooks for grammar instruction -- the students enjoy it far more. The biggest issue to me is that many of the practice exercises take a little longer than necessary.
