Great Parent Communication and Behavior Evaluation
I think this a great tool for all teachers. I teach Pre-K. The children are more aware of their behaviors in using this tool. They can visually see what behavior is being marked. Also, it helps me to keep track of each child's individual behavior for the day. The plus is I can download it to my cell phone as well and it is mobile with me and the class when we leave the classroom. The parents should never have to ask how their child's day went because it is all recorded on this app daily.

Class Dojo is a great tool for building student-teacher-parent trust and understanding.
There is flexibility in how classes can be set up. Class Dojo works just as well for classroom teachers and/or art/music/PE/technology teachers. It is a flexible and practical tool for educators!

Classroom management wizard
Overall I think Class Dojo is a great tool to use in the classroom. It keeps students accountable for their actions, motivates them, and is engaging with the personalized monsters and sounds. I used Dojo as a reward where we set a weekly point goal. If students reached that point goal they got to pick from the prize bucket on Friday. Then we reset and started again on Monday. I also love that parents can view what happened during the day. It supports the home school connection.

Great way to explore the world from your classroom
Google Cardboard is an incredibly beneficial tool. No previous knowledge is required when using this teaching tool. Google Cardboard puts a student at a historical landmark, different country, or in a place they never thought they could possibly see. It gives them a different perspective and helps create a picture to represent a specific place. If students are having trouble visualizing a place or event, Google Cardboard can be used to help create a picture and further learning.

ClassDojo is an amazing communication tool for students and teachers. I love that I can post videos and photographs while students are working in class. The parents love to see the students in real-time and it makes them feel comfortable.
ClassDojo also has a built in digital portfolio for students to upload and showcase their work. I do not use it yet - but I constantly use it to photograph the students and keep in touch with parents. It is also a great motivator because it is a point system. Students love earning points and winning prizes!

School wide usage
I like Dojo because we can do these kind of whole school events. Some of our teachers use it individually with great success. The only downfall I see is the inability to disable whole class points. Teachers were giving whole class points without understanding that it gave everyone a point, not just the class itself. Overall, I love how we can connect parents whether they gain a point or lose a point (for skill improvement aka behavior), taking evidence of learning and placing it in the Dojo

Class Dojo: discouraging monsterous behavior one point at a time
My 3rd graders love this app! We use ClassDojo every day! They have quickly picked up on the positive and negative behavior choice noises which encourages them to stop and think each time they hear it. They are constantly asking to see their points and to post updates on our class story. We also use Dojo as an incentive program; each Friday students can trade in their Dojo points for various classroom rewards. In our room we reset points on a weekly basis, but you could easily reset points daily to give students a fresh start. Dojo has also been a great resource for me to identify reoccurring behaviors within my classroom and as a parent communication tool. I also like that I can access the app from my phone, laptop, or desktop computer and the points sync regardless of where I am. I use almost every feature of the Dojo toolkit, especially the timer, directions and random grouping. We also watch many of the Dojo lessons as they align with or support the virtuous language used at our school. Overall, I’d recommend ClassDojo to any teacher looking for a fun, engaging way to support behavior management in their classroom.
