Awesome tool for quick "Brain Breaks" that will re-energize and focus students.
This is an awesome product to use for "Brain Breaks" with elementary classes. I really like how there are 12 different categories of videos, allowing the teacher to search for a brain break that will work best with his/her group of students. I also like how a teacher can add favorite videos to a playlist, for fast and easy access.
The only thing to be cautious of is the silliness of some videos. I suggest that the teacher previews each video to make sure that it will serve as a true brain break for students, and not side-track them or create chaos within the classroom. However, overall GoNoodle is a must have product for all elementary school teachers that utilize brain breaks with their class.

Great site to get kids moving around and create a more focused environment for academic needs.
This is a great site that pulls the kids in. They have no idea that there is a greater purpose other than having fun. It provides many options and ways to give the kids a much needed brain break. The brain breaks are varied in ability, type, and level of activity. There are breaks that are very calming that provide stretching and breathing techniques, as well as very active breaks that teach them how to dance. They also have the newest poplar movie songs such as Let it Go and Everything is Awesome.
Every 10 breaks your champ (class mascot) gets to grow a little. After so many growth spurts, you get to pick a new champ. The kids love to watch him grow. In between the growth spurts while you are working on those ten breaks, the champs have a little dialogue blurb to make you laugh. It is shown when you sign on and get ready to pick a break. The kids love to see what he has to say next!
The website allows you to mark the breaks as favorites when you find the ones you like best. This year it also categorized the breaks for easier searching.
Overall, I think this is a great website and resource for any classroom.

Terrific transitioning activities!
The site has plenty of activities to choose from, there are activities such as yoga or deep breathing exercises to calm students or exciting dance tutorials to help build energy or refresh the mind. The site provides a reward for minutes of activity. there are characters that grow and levels to be achieved. My students could not wait to earn more minutes and see what kind of changes the character would make. Quite a few of my students went home and created their own accounts because they enjoyed the activities so much. While these activities are not curriculum related, I did see an increase in focus following a "brain-break". I think this is an essential tool in the elementary classroom.

Great tool to use for calming students down and to rewards students as a whole class.
My students and I both love gonoodle. It is a fun and easy way to calm students down, or to let them release some pent up energy so their brains are ready to work. It is easy to use and implement in the classroom.

Wake them up! 5 minutes or less!
Although it is not necessarily a Common Core teaching tool that teaches content, it does help kids get refreshed and refocused. It is great for transitions between lessons or periods, and it actually entices students to return to class on time! They hate to miss their brain break!

Quick and easy brain break activities at your fingertips.
GoNoodle is a great way to have students either become more energized or to reduce their stress by doing one of the GoNoodle activities anytime during the day. It is great to have different "brain break" activities in one place and ready to go without any prep work on my end. The activities that include direct instruction are the best ones to use since the kids just follow what is happening on the screen. This makes it easy to keep the class engaged and moving. Other options are not as well structured and it is harder to keep the students as engaged. Students really have a "buy-in" since they are able to grow and change their "creature" every time they do an activity. They know exactly how many minutes they need to get to the next level. GoNoodle is a fun way to incorporate movement into your day.
