Prezi is like Powerpoint on steroids! I love the ease with which students can create an almost limitless presentation that has a real aesthetic appeal.

I love how this allowed me to take a lesson on the new bullying laws and make it engaging and interactive through using this great app.

Prezi has a lot of templates and features that are easily available on their website. Once students have started their Prezi, waded through the template, font, and color options, they can begin using the app on an iPad. Doing so removes some of the 'heavy lifting' which is more easily accomplished on a laptop or desktop computer. As with any presentation tool, content is key. Students who make beautiful Prezis must also make them centered around the essential questions and be able to show what they have learned.

Prezi is a more global sort of PowerPoint. Instead of making a line of slides, you create a web, or--as I've explained it to kids--a bulletin board, and then connect the dots in a way that logical.

I think it's a great alternative to the powerpoints of yesterday. As an alternative to book reports, my students used Prezi to present key ideas, main characters, sequence of events, and many more different methods to not only present to the lcass but furthur their knowledge.

This App really is beautiful for presentations where you just want to share information... Unfortunately, I've found that it is difficult for students and teachers to actually share academic information using this because in order to forward your presentation, everyone has to have the app. It is really difficult for students to email the content of the presentation to their teachers because you can't just cut and paste the info. As opposed to other presentation apps like Keynote, Power point etc.

I would use it again although, it was discouraging that students had to set up an account, publish their work publicly (if not subscribing $), and use a desktop rather than an ipad to be able to use all of the features of the app. Also, you cannot simply go to the website from the ipad because the device recognized the app and kicks you out of the website to the app automatically, which has the limited features.

Prezi has been a great web tool for some time now by making presentations rich with media and more engaging that a PowerPoint. Prezi's App has nearly all of the features that the web tool has while giving rich presentations directly on the iPad.
