Super for support at home.
I think IXL is a great tool that can be an asset to students of all levels. It adjusts to their level and the students find it motivating. Even in short periods, learning can occur. The reports that teachers can create provide useful information.

Great Common Core practice! Easy to use for students and parents.
I love how user-friendly the website is. It's organized and easy for students to use independently. While it's easy to use, it's not as motivating as I'd like.

A great site to reinforce key math standards already taught in the classroom.
I like to use this site after I have taught a lesson in math. It is a great way for me to see immediately who is understanding and who needs more instruction. I also like that it causes my students to think deeper, and really apply their math brains.

Helps students figure out what they need help in along with letting the teacher know what needs to be focused on more in class.
This helps me as a teacher to not have to worry about coming up with new problems. I do not like how it times the kids though. Some children feel pressured and therefor do not do as well as I feel they would if it was not timed. It lets me monitor the children throughout there process of the subject to see how well they are really doing. I can go before the children and do the problems myself and see how hard it is for some children and how easy it may be for others. My overall general feel of this product as a tool for teaching, is great! I will be using it for awhile.

IXL is a self directed but highly engaging math (and now English!) tool!
IXL is a great math (and now English) tool which provides students with a variety of questions based on topic/standard to practice. I like it for two big reasons 1) the teachers gain a great deal of assessment feedback which is presented in graphs, numerical data etc for the whole class and for individual students. It is easy for teachers to drill into what a student has practices and help them with specific problems after viewing the assessment data. 2) The students earn badges as they progress, these badges and mini-awards are a great motivating factor for students to continue to practice their math skills.

IXL is a great site for student practice that covers almost every topic that we cover in the ALGEBRA 1 classroom.
I really like IXL. I have used this with my Algebra 1 students for the last 2 years. It does a great job of providing INSTANT feedback to students while covering all of the topics that we cover in the classroom. Students enjoy working on it for that reason also. It also gives the TEACHER the ability to track the students performance by using the IXL reports that are available to the account administrator. Parents also love that this is available to their students to use at home. I have many parents who have asked for an account for their student so that they can sit down and practice the skills with them at home. I strongly recommend IXL for any math classroom teacher.

IXL offers numerous math games and acticvities for students at all levels.
IXL is great for students who need additional practice math. Each grade level (K-8) is broken down into all the skills students are expected to learn in that specific grade level, and the skills are organized into categories. The website says it can be used for K-12 students, but I it was not very clear to me if, indeed, there were actual activities for 10-12 grade students. The site also has the common core state standards available on the site. This is helpful for lesson planning although I have not yet used this feature.
I teach a second grader who is does fairly well in addition, but has not yet memorized his subtraction math facts up to 20. I checked out a laptop from our school's media center, and had him log into IXL. I wanted him to stay sharp in addition but I knew he needed work in subtraction. I chose an activity for him that practiced both addition and subtraction to reinforce the areas he knew while at the same time, working on newer concepts. What I really liked about this site though, is there is a hover feature, which allows you to hover over a skill and see sample problems from that section. The only real criticism I have about the site is that the drills get a little repetitive after a while, so my student got a little bored after about 7 minutes. At that point, I had him use his back arrow on his browser to choose a different activity. IXL tracks students' scores, and the questions automatically increase in difficulty as they improve. I have not yet used the score tracking feature, but I feel like this is a site I/students can grow with the more I learn about it.

Wonderful, state-aligned math lessons, leveled for each grade level!
This website is a great tool for teaching math. The lessons are directly aligned with each and every state standard. Online rewards keep students engaged and positively reinforces the work that they are doing. The website lets you log-in as a parent/teacher, too, in order to check the child's progress. Great tool for individual work and practice at home!
