Fun, scavenger hunt game that allows children to think critically
I love the idea of kids using critical thinking skills and collaborating with others at such a young age. This app is really engaging and requires kids to be active, to communicate and socialize, and to be creative and take pictures. The storyline is awesome and age appropriate. There are so many extension activies that you can do later. For example, creating a scavenger hunt with magazines or having kids classify objects/toys. This is a great app that allows children and adults to play together.

Yet when they started the app and received their assignment, the concerned individuals emerged as a team! Students were winding around trying to find objects around the room that fit the criteria given. They then took pictures and, once they had collected them all, brought the iPad to me to review their pictures. I love this app as a teaching tool to emphasize creative thinking and collaboration. I would like a way for students to go back and do the same mission again. By repeating the mission students would have come up with new ways to solve the same problem, hence much higher order thinking.
