Great Resource for Educators - Be Sure to Screen First!
This is a great supplement, especially for science and social studies. The videos do an excellent job of using vocabulary correctly and explaining new concepts. The games and quizzes help teachers structure questioning and pull key concepts. It doesn't have a video for everything and some of the content for K-3 is really more for kids in grades 2 and 3.

One of my go to websites
Very clearly written information on a variety of topics. Includes touches of humor too. Videos aren't too long (appx 5-8 minutes) and are written in a question then answer research style. Simple, clear visuals like animated pictures and labels support learning. My students get excited when they see I've got BrainPop Jr on the screen for them. I like that the narrator, a young girl with her silly mute robot friend, speaks slowly and clearly, but with inflection so that it's not boring. Also, the videos take time to highlight and define important vocabulary words.

Videos, Games and Lesson Ideas!
Brainpop Jr. has lessons for all subject areas. I have taught as a grade level teacher and now as a technology lab teacher, and I can always find a video, lesson or ideas to help make my own. I wish there were more lessons, but I am sure they are adding as quickly as they can.
