we'll i like playing it , its an very interesting fact that many can do ,it can help out a lot of people from my part of view.

This app worked great for our unit on propaganda, but I could also see it being used in many different ways and content areas. The only thing is students will definitely need a tutorial on how to use the app it's not the easiest one to pick up and create. However, it serves students by giving them both voice and choice. In addition, it gives them the opportunity to share their work with an authentic audience.

Students enjoyed the freedom of creativity. They had to do specific assignments for me and then we're given time to create. Great tool. It had many different options for the students of all ages to use.

My overall opinion about Garage Band is that it is very engaging for middle school students. It can take a concept like poetry that sometimes is not the most engaging topic to teach to middle school boys, and it makes poetry come to life through music. I like that there are a lot of different options for students to add beats and their own voice to their piece. I would highly recommend that teachers practice with this app before having students try it. Also, give students time to "play around" with the app, too! I would also recommend that students write a poem/piece of writing first before using Garage Band because students tend to get overwhelmed with the musical instruments, background beats, etc. and you, as a teacher, need to have them focus back on the purpose of why they are using Garage Band. Garage Band enhanced more of the presentation of a poem rather than learning how to write a poem.

I, and my students, really like the app. But I did find that it has some limitations since you do have to be able to keep a beat and realize that musical notes are harder to just pick out by ear than most students know. My students could have 'played' on this all day.

This app is great! In a secondary science classroom, access to this app is a must. There is never a situation in my class where all students are using this app, but for those students that want to use GarageBand to create music and record audio, there is nothing comparable!

I love using GarageBand as a teaching tool. It's an awesome tool with endless possibilities. I love how easy it is for students to learn to use and how much fun my students have exploring new ways to engage with the tool. GarageBand is one of my favorite teaching tools.

I love Garageband. It allows student to create, to learn, and explore music.

Garage Band is an excellent addition to the iLife suite of tools from Apple. Many times, students want a solution to produce voice recordings, edit levels, or chop up clips. GB does that for them and more. My students use GB as a creation platform. They do many presentations through their 9th grade year, and each time they are asked to use audio clips in the public domain, marked as 'fair-use', or original works. Garage Band allows them to quickly and easily construct audio that does not violate any copyright law or intellectual property rights. My students love the interface, it is easy to learn, and has versatility in exporting files. Students quickly find that original audio that is specifically built for a project offer better returns to the audience, increase their level of engagement, and satisfy their projects objectives more clearly. Highly recommended.

It allows music educators with a little, to a lot of music software experience to do almost what ever they'd like musically. For kids it gives all the wonder and excitement of composing right at their fingertips.
