A busy commercial website with stale blog content
"I like the idea of kids interviewing important people and writing for their peers. I disliked the ever-present advertisements. I disliked the confusing navigation. I didn't care for the outdated content. Evidently we are still on the road to the 2012 election. When I found the author interviews, the first one mentioned was with Katherine Paterson because a movie was forthcoming based on her book Bridge to Terabithia. That was in 2007 - six years ago! The articles are written by kids and read like it too. I don't mean to be harsh, but I'm not sure that foisting less than clear writing on young readers who are still learning is the best idea. If you want to go that route, why not just have them visit regular kid blogs and skip the corporate bally-hoo?"Continue reading
