Media and technology play complex and multifaceted roles in kids' learning, connection, and daily lives, which is why family-school partnerships are key to teaching young people the skills they need to thrive in an always-on world. Family engagement for digital well-being means that all the adults and caregivers in a child's life share responsibility in cultivating mindsets that will serve them now and in the future, no matter what new technology emerges.

In this session, we'll explore parent motivations and buy-in for teaching digital literacy skills at home. Participants will gain tips on boosting parent and caregiver confidence in guiding their child's media and tech use, plus takeaway resources to help families engage in conversation (and play!) with kids for their well-being. The goal is to nurture empathy, lead with curiosity, and open ongoing discussions that acknowledge we're all in this together.
