My Take
As a teaching tool, I would use this app as a guided or additional practice after having presented nutrition information to students. It does give students a means to plant, harvest, and recycle in a lively interface. I also like that it provides the food production experience for some students who have never had a garden.
How I Use It
Yummiloo is a cute and colorful app which reinforces color, nutrition, and recycling concepts in younger students. I would share this app with students after a lesson on food groups, nutrition, and composting. I liked that it provides auditory direction and has very little reading which makes it a nice resource for emerging and non-readers.
