Great for learning English with some quirks

My Take
English is a tough language to learn as an adult and this app could make it a bit easier. Older students and adults new to the language could run through many pairs of similar sounding words. There is a "Master It" section where word pairs can be practiced in sentences. Clicking on any word will bring up more information on it, as well as a clever quote to understand the context of the word. There is also a Search option to alphabetically scroll through the word list. Overall, this app is helpful and easy to use. The words are colored (blue, red, green) which isn't explained clearly. However, a quick guide within the app also gives extra support when needed.
How I Use It
This app would work well in a center or station but only after reviewing it as a whole class. The colorful "spinner" makes it fun to find new word pairs. The "Master It" section is useful to reinforce word retention and save learned words easily. After mastering several levels there are areas that are unlocked which serves as motivation to continue to play. Students would have to record their words in another app or on a worksheet since there is no "Add a Player" feature. The sharing feature is unnecessary and would be blocked at my school. Overall, I would recommend older students and adults being the best suited to learning from this app.
